OUR FIRST LADY & FOUNDER

First Lady Shuntay Lakes is the co-founder of Spirit of Victory Outreach Ministries and a devoted servant leader who embodies faith, grace, and perseverance.

Her love for the Lord began early at just 10 years old, she asked her parents to allow her to be baptized so she could begin a life fully committed to Christ. From her youth into adulthood, Lady Shuntay has faithfully served in the house of God in many capacities. Time and again, she has stepped beyond her comfort zone, not realizing then that God was using each moment to prepare her for greater purpose.

In 2004, she married her “Sweet Pea,” Pastor Janard Lakes, and together they reside in Flint, Michigan. In January 2019, Pastor Lakes founded Spirit of Victory Outreach Ministries, where Lady Shuntay faithfully serves alongside him in their shared mission to seek and save the lost.

A dynamic and extraordinary speaker, Lady Shuntay has a passion for empowering people to grow in Christ, discover their God-given purpose, and “WIN” in every area of life. She leads the Women’s Ministry with vision and compassion, having pioneered sub-groups designed to embrace and uplift women of all ages and walks of life. Her voice resonates with wisdom, encouragement, and authenticity, inspiring women to walk boldly in their calling.

Lady Shuntay also serves with a strong administrative heart, ensuring the mission and vision of the church are carried out with excellence. Whether she is speaking from the pulpit, mentoring women one-on-one, or working behind the scenes, she leads with humility, grace, and a steadfast commitment to Christ.

Above all, First Lady Shuntay Lakes continues to be guided by the Holy Spirit, pursuing a life fully surrendered to God and leaving a lasting impact on every life she touches.
