OUR PASTOR & FOUNDER

Pastor Janard Lakes is the founder and shepherd of Spirit of Victory Outreach Ministries. Answering the call to preach in 1997, he was officially ordained in 2022 and continues to walk boldly in the mission God has placed on his life: to Love God, Love His People, and Advance His kingdom.

Deeply community-driven, Pastor Lakes has a heart for reaching those searching for Christ and a passion for mentoring the next generation. His love for youth and commitment to guiding them on a path of purpose and faith have made him a trusted mentor and spiritual father in the city of Flint.

Pastor Lakes is a graduate of Agape Faith Bible College and Evangel Bible College. Beyond the pulpit, he is widely known throughout the community for his efforts to stop violence and bring hope to those in need. With a unique gift, he also serves as a well-known barber, using his chair as a ministry space to encourage, uplift, and connect with boys, men, and women across Flint.
